It's humpday of the workout week...
and my jeans that were kinda loose already are really feeling loose today. Win!
Average ho hum day at the gym, but I got through it. Couldn’t start with the tread today because they were occupied so started with the recumbent bike which was an alright change of pace.

Monday, Jan 25 - Week 3-ish
Monday = 30 mins on the treadmill. For some reason today’s 30 seemed harder than Friday’s 30. Maybe my legs were just stiff from the weekend off. Was fighting lactic acid build-up in my calves for most of the time today.
Less Estrogen + the return of Roman = Win
Back to weights tomorrow.

1. Talking during a set Do not talk to someone in the middle of a set. This is very distracting and they are probably not listening to you anyway. Don’t be offended if and when they ignore you. Wait until they’re done. 2. Excessive talking Don’t talk excessively to people during their workout. They are (usually) at the gym to work, not socialize....
Made it to the gym this morning...
and apparently I was just about the only one. There was one older guy there when I arrived, but left about 5 mins later. There were two more there when I finished showering and getting dressed, but other than that I had the place to myself. Sadly, no eye candy.
Did 30 mins on the treadmill @ 3mph on the hill setting (hit an incline of 5.7 twice for a min each time) and a 6 min cool down on the...
I feel some serious gymspirations coming on....
WAY too much estrogen at the gym this morning… and no Roman boy. :(

Ball Squats (BW x 15) and Leg Curl circuit (65/80/95 x 10)
Dumbbell bench press (20/25/30 x 12 each)
Dumbbell pullovers (20/25/30 x 12 each)
Wide grip pulldowns (85/95/105 x 10)
V-bar tricep extentions (32.5, 37.5, 47.5 x 10)
Bicep curls (20/25/30 x 10 each arm)

My thought of the day...
I can’t count the number of posts he’s seen wanting the NY’s resolutioners to quit. I wonder how many people have actually offered to help them so that they won’t hurt themselves or get in a routine so they move more quickly and aren’t hoggin the machines.

The weather in my neck of the woods has been awful, so no gym time at the end of last week.
Went yesterday and did 30 mins on the treadmill. Will post today’s workout later.
Been trying to stick to a reduced intake eating plan.. which isn’t always easy.

So after waking up to a cold room and the beginnings of a cold/sinus pressure… I bravely left the house (12 degrees in MS should be illegal btw) and went to the gym.
Routine:
20 mins on treadmill. Just under a mile.
Leg press
Chest Flys (machine) 15@70, 15@80x2
Lat pulldown - 15@70 x2, 15@85
shoulder press - 55 lbs for 10, 8, 6
Abs - 3 sets of 15 crunches
10 mins on recumbent bike

Well, mine began with a very, very cold one for North MS. Temp was 15 deg when I left the house this morning. Here is the rundown of my workout this am:
20 mins on tread: 1 mile
Ball Squats (20/20/15) / leg curl (15@50/15@65/15@80) circuit
Flat bench/incline bench (15@15x2, 15@20) circuit
Back machine with weights (35lb on each side x 15 x 3)
1 set of triceps db extensions on flat bench...

Everything you read says to set (realistic) goals for yourself when trying to get in shape. While I agree with that, I think there also needs to be a pie in the sky ultimate goal(s) as well. So here are my goals:
1. Short Term: Slim down to the point that my current clothes are too big, hence… time to shop!
